Just in time for their 20th stage anniversary, ARD aired this one-hour documentary on October 21, 2011<\/strong>. It tells the story of Peter Plate and AnNa R\n .<\/a>, who found each other musically in Berlin shortly after the fall of the Wall\u2014and went on to make German music history.\n
\n <\/p>\n

At first, the record industry and radio stations didn\u2019t know what to do with their German pop, so the two took a detour via the subculture\u2014winning fans\u2019 hearts with songs like Die Schlampen sind m\u00fcde<\/em>, Liebe ist alles<\/em>,\n and Gib mir Sonne<\/em>\u2014and eventually becoming a celebrated duo.\n
\n <\/p>\n

All the more dramatic was their split in 2012, driven by success pressure and depression\u2014the darker sides of the music business.<\/p>\n
