Born in Berlin, Marc Boettcher studied acting, theatre studies and German studies. He made his first films while still at school. (Audience Award for <\/span>\u201cDas t\u00f6dliche Telefon\u201d<\/span><\/em> at the Hannover Student Film Festival, 1982)<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 1988 he has worked as a dramaturge, actor and director.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Engagements in Stuttgart, L\u00fcbeck and Berlin.
<\/span><\/p>\n

During his career he worked as a freelance TV editor and has been successful since 1990 as a dubbing writer\/director (including \u201cEisenstein in Guanajuato\u201d<\/em>, \u201cCall Me by Your Name\u201d<\/em>, as well as series such\n as \u201cEine himmlische Familie\u201d<\/em>, \u201cDer Name der Rose\u201d<\/em> and \u201cWe Are Who We Are\u201d<\/em>).
<\/span><\/p>\n

This was followed by numerous publications, essays, a book about Henrik Ibsen, and in 1998 his first biography of the pop icon \u201cAlexandra\u201d<\/em>, published by Knaur Verlag in Munich.<\/p>\n

1992<\/strong> \u2013 Founded the theatre \u201cKunstgriff e. V.\u201d<\/p>\n

1999<\/strong> \u2013 Founded the production company \u201cMB-Film\u201d. Produced the 90-minute TV portrait and ratings hit \u201cAlexandra \u2013 Die Legende einer S\u00e4ngerin\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

2002<\/strong> \u2013 Book biography \u201cStranger In The Night \u2013 Die Bert Kaempfert Story\u201d<\/em>, Groenevold Verlag, Hamburg<\/p>\n

2003<\/strong> \u2013 TV production of the 120-minute TV documentary \u201cStrangers In The Night \u2013 Die Bert Kaempfert Story\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
