This book commemorates the “Father of Guitar Artistry” and recalls the life and life’s work of this exceptional musical figure in 20th-century Germany. It includes contributions about Siegfried Behrend himself as well as topics that were particularly close to his heart—among them his collaboration with the singers Pilar Lorengar and Belina, his commitment to the Bund Deutscher Zupfmusiker and the Goethe-Institut, and a look into his private life.
